Baseball is the oldest major sport in the world. It predates English soccer by around 20 years with a consensus that the rules of the NY Knickerbockers vs the NY Nines in 1846 marks the first official baseball game.
I wish I could say I love baseball, but, I don’t. I grew up watching 80s baseball and was a 1994 strike casualty. To be more accurate, I watched a TON of baseball in a little house on Lombard ave., in Everett, Washington. My earliest memories are of baked french fries and air popped popcorn watching baseball on our tv. Even a trip or four to the Kingdome. Of course I was an A’s fan, the Mariners sucked even with the Griffeys.
